For our students, a tablet is more
than a piece of technology—it’s a lifeline.
When a tablet breaks or stops functioning,
that lifeline is cut off.

Through their Securus tablets, our incarcerated students complete writing assignments, draft chapters, communicate with Crime & Compassion teachers, stay connected with loved ones, access educational materials, and work toward personal growth and rehabilitation.

Without a working tablet, students can lose access to their coursework, writing projects, support systems, and opportunities to continue building a better future.

Our students are doing the hard work of growth, healing, and self-improvement. Many are using writing to process trauma, develop new skills, strengthen their voices, and prepare for life after incarceration.

When you sponsor a student, Crime & Compassion Inc. will deliver the tablet funds directly to the incarcerated student's account so they can purchase a replacement tablet through their facility's approved provider (Securus). We work closely with our students to verify need and ensure your donation reaches the intended recipient. Your gift provides direct, meaningful support that helps a student continue their education, writing, and communication with loved ones.
